Some of the major Pet Food suppliers still use additives and preservatives that have been banned for human consumption. In effect, they are slowly and deliberately poisoning our much loved Dogs by using these toxic chemicals in their pet foods.
You may remember the 2007 Dog Food Recall, when Melamine was found in dog food and thousands of dogs were poisoned, the same chemical that was found in Chinese baby formula, just recently (2008), killing thousands and making 10s of thousands of babies desperately ill.

My only gripe is that the recipes do not each have a dedicated page, so if you want to print one out, you may have to print 2 pages, oh yes… there is no converion from lbs & oz to kilos. A few countries have moved beyond the dark ages now…
That said, this is a very good package, and I am pleased I bought it. My dog is thriving on homemade dog food and the recipes I use come from this book, though I do occasionally tweak them.
